Happy Saturday, everyone! As I write this, we're just about to head out for another full day of canvassing. With the election just three months away, the pace is picking up—and so is our determination.
For the past month and a half, our team has been out in the neighbourhoods, meeting folks where they are. As soon as my platform was finalized and our campaign literature was in hand, we hit the ground running. We don’t post about every single day out knocking on doors, but make no mistake: canvassing is the heart of this campaign. The old saying is true—you only get out what you put in, and I refuse to let myself, my family, or my supporters down. We’re putting in the work, every single day, rain or shine.
I try to keep everyone updated as much as possible. If there’s a community event—a festival, a key ceremony, a grand opening—I’ll share it. These are the good news moments our city thrives on, and I want to highlight as many as we can. As Shannon and I make our way across town, we also make a point to seek out local restaurants and encourage everyone to do the same. Supporting local businesses is one of the simplest and most impactful things we can do for our community.
Today’s schedule is packed: canvassing all afternoon, then dinner at an event, then back out for more canvassing. After that, I’ll be fulfilling my vice mayor duties by attending a sporting event outside the city for the closing ceremonies. It’s going to be a long day, but these are the moments that matter.
So if you see us out and about, stop and say hello. Or maybe we’ll see you at your door! Thank you for your support and your commitment to our shared future.
See you on the campaign trail!
